We are continuing our blog series on commonly seen Florida bicycle road signs. In our last post, we discussed the Bicyclists May Use Full Lane Road Sign. We will discuss a new, different sign today!

Thankfully, in Boca Raton (and South Florida overall) there are a number of bike lanes available and ready for bicyclists. Boca Raton, in particular, is known as being a very bicycle friend city. In fact, Boca Raton received a Bronze Bicycle Friendly Community Award from the League of American Bicyclists in 2021. But even in bicycle friendly cities bicyclists must pay close attention to road signs for their safety.

For example, South Florida bicyclists will see this sign:

A Bike Lane Ends Sign

This is a Bike Lane Ends Sign found on S.W. 18th Street and Dixie Highway in Boca Raton, Florida.

What does this sign mean?

It means the bicycle lane is ending and so bicyclists will have to soon share the road with drivers. Indeed, when seeing this sign bicyclists must be aware of changes in the road.
