Our client was staying at a local hotel when a door slammed on his hand and injured one of his fingers. Before we filed suit, the hotel refused to make a settlement offer to our client.
We then filed a lawsuit and argued the hotel should have had a door closer – not door hinges – for the door that caused the injury. Ultimately, the case settled for $50,000.*
