This is the third blog post in our four-part blog series, “How To Lose Your Personal Case.” In the second post, we discussed how failing to get necessary medical care can negatively impact your case. In this third post, we will discuss how failing to communicate with your attorney will impact your case.

When you have an injury case, it is critical that you regularly communicate with your injury attorney.

This is especially true when you have updates or changes in your case that your attorney needs to know about.

Let me give an example.

My client was involved in a car accident. He complained of neck and back pain. Several months into his case, he told me that for he had been experiencing near daily ringing in his ears. Unfortunately, this symptom can be seen from car accidents. I was surprised he waited to tell me because this is a serious symptom that requires immediate diagnoses and care. Thankfully, he got immediate care and began treating with the right physicians.

But what if he had never told me? He would never have gotten the treatment he needed, which in turn impacted his case.

As you can see, it is critically important to regularly communicate with your personal injury attorney. This includes not only discussing your health, but all issues that impact your case.

In the final post, we will discuss the fourth biggest way to lose your personal injury case – waiting to pursue your injury claim.
